Synopsis

In a near-future rural America ravaged by economic hardship, Flynne Fisher navigates a meager existence, piecing together income from a 3D printshop and occasionally stepping into high-stakes online games for her veteran brother, Burton. When Burton asks her to cover a shift in what he describes as a game prototype, Flynne finds herself immersed in a hyper-realistic virtual London, seventy years in the future. This 'game' quickly turns terrifying as she witnesses a brutal crime, blurring the lines between simulation and reality. Meanwhile, in that far-future London, after an apocalyptic event known as the 'Jackpot,' society has bifurcated into the privileged and the nonexistent. Wilf Netherton, a high-powered publicist, finds his decadent life disrupted when he's drawn into the mystery surrounding Flynne's 'game.' As their two disparate timelines connect through advanced technology, Flynne and Wilf must unravel a conspiracy that spans centuries, threatening both their worlds and revealing the profound, perilous implications of reaching across time.
