Among the opulent, yet unsettling, surroundings, Jules befriends fellow apartment-sitter Ingrid, who confides chilling theories about the building's dark history and sinister secrets. When Ingrid mysteriously vanishes overnight, Jules's initial skepticism turns to fear. She soon uncovers a disturbing pattern: Ingrid isn't the first temporary resident to disappear within the Bartholomew's walls.
