Brotherhood of the Wolf plunges deeper into the perilous world of Gaborn Val Orden, the Earth King, as he grapples with the aftermath of his hard-won, yet incomplete, victory against the formidable Raj Ahten. Though driven from Gaborn's immediate vicinity, Ahten remains a terrifying force, unleashing brutal attacks on far-flung cities and fortresses, systematically assassinating Gaborn's revered dedicates in a calculated effort to draw the Earth King from his seat of power. The realm of the Runelords is fractured, caught in a desperate war of attrition that threatens to consume all. Yet, as Gaborn and Ahten weaken each other's forces in a brutal dance of conflict, an even more ancient and implacable enemy stirs from the very bowels of the Earth.
