Synopsis

Cat Among the Pigeons" draws the legendary detective Hercule Poirot into the seemingly idyllic confines of Meadowbank School for Girls, a prestigious English boarding school soon to be rocked by a series of unsettling events and brutal murders. The calm façade is shattered when a bloody revolution in the Middle Eastern state of Ramat sends Princess Shaista, carrying a crucial secret and possibly priceless jewels, to seek refuge at the school. Adding to the underlying tension, the school's beloved headmistress, Miss Bulstrode, is on the verge of retirement, and the competition for her successor creates ripples of ambition and resentment among the staff. When a sports mistress is inexplicably shot dead, followed by other suspicious deaths and threats, Meadowbank transforms from a sanctuary into a hotbed of fear and suspicion. Poirot must meticulously sift through a complex tapestry of international espionage, hidden identities, and long-held secrets to expose the killer—the 'cat'—lurking among the unsuspecting 'pigeons' before the deadly game claims more victims and the true motive, whether political, personal, or tied to the fabled rubies, is finally brought to light.
