Synopsis

In a unique and chilling premise, the eccentric Dr. Shaitana, a connoisseur of crime, invites Hercule Poirot and three other celebrated detectives to a dinner party. His other guests are four individuals he chillingly refers to as his 'Black Museum' – murderers who have successfully evaded justice. As the evening unfolds with discussions of the perfect crime, the unthinkable happens: Dr. Shaitana himself is found dead, stabbed in his armchair, while the four crime-solving luminaries were playing bridge in another room, and the four 'unpunished' killers were playing in an adjacent room. The stage is set for a meticulously crafted whodunit where the suspects are already known to have committed murder, but which one struck again? With no apparent weapon and no witnesses, Poirot, Superintendent Battle, Colonel Race, and Ariadne Oliver must delve into the psychological profiles and pasts of the suspects, sifting through alibis and motives, to uncover the truth hidden among the 'cards on the table.' It's a brilliant study in human nature and criminal psychology, a true test of observation and deduction.

Critical Reception
