Synopsis

LAPD Detective Harry Bosch plunges into his most personal and perilous case yet when a seemingly routine murder investigation spirals into a desperate international search for his kidnapped daughter. The murder of John Li, owner of a familiar South L.A. liquor store, hits close to home for Bosch, who promises justice to Li's grieving family. His investigation quickly unearths connections to a powerful and ruthless Hong Kong triad, a criminal organization with tentacles reaching across continents. As Bosch delves deeper into this unfamiliar cultural and criminal underworld, his world is shattered when his beloved daughter, Maddie, is abducted. Driven by an all-consuming need to save her, Bosch leaves the familiar streets of Los Angeles for the neon-lit, enigmatic city of Hong Kong. Amidst the vibrant chaos of the Hungry Ghosts festival, Bosch must shed his conventional police tactics and risk everything in a high-stakes, all-or-nothing bid to outmaneuver the triad and bring Maddie home.
