Synopsis

In the seemingly tranquil North Idaho woods, twelve-year-old Annie and her younger brother William find their lives irrevocably shattered. A secret fishing trip, born of Annie's youthful rebellion, takes a horrifying turn when they become eyewitnesses to a cold-blooded execution. The children stare directly into the eyes of the four killers, who, to their terror, are not anonymous criminals but highly respected, albeit corrupt, Los Angeles policemen. Now, home is no longer safe, as the perpetrators know their identities and residence. The law offers no sanctuary, as their pursuers *are* the law. With no one to trust and nowhere to hide, William and Annie are thrust into a desperate fight for survival. Their only hope emerges in the unlikely figure of Jess Rawlins, an old-school rancher who instinctively senses the pervasive corruption within Blue Heaven. He stands as a lone, formidable force against four men who will stop at nothing to silence the only witnesses to their dark secret, forcing him to protect the children against overwhelming odds.

Critical Reception
