Maximum Bob

In the chaotic world of rural Florida, Judge Bob Gibbs, infamously dubbed 'Maximum Bob' for his harsh sentencing and womanizing ways, finds his already tumultuous life turned upside down when an alligator is mysteriously delivered to his porch. With a laundry list of enemies, from the volatile, primitive Crowe clan to countless individuals he's sent to prison, suspects are plentiful. The investigation draws in quick-witted probation officer Kathy Baker, who soon finds herself entangled in a web of eccentric characters, including a doped-up doctor on early release and a long-dead slave girl named Wanda whose spirit seems to linger. As the layers of local grievances, dark humor, and bizarre occurrences peel back, Baker navigates the peculiar landscape of Florida's underbelly, where justice is often an unpredictable and darkly comedic affair, and things rarely unfold as expected.
