Synopsis

Maggie Holloway, a celebrated fashion photographer, is overjoyed to reconnect with her beloved stepmother, Nuala Moore, at a Manhattan party. Maggie accepts Nuala's invitation to stay at her stunning Victorian home in Newport, Rhode Island, only to arrive and find Nuala brutally murdered, seemingly by a burglar. Devastated, Maggie inherits the house and soon becomes suspicious that Nuala's death was far from random. Her unease deepens when Nuala's close friend, Greta Shipley, dies under supposedly natural circumstances shortly thereafter. Maggie, convinced these deaths are linked to other recent fatalities among Newport's older women, begins a perilous investigation. Unbeknownst to her, each clue she unearths pulls her closer into the killer's crosshairs, transforming her from an investigator into the next intended victim in a twisted, meticulously planned scheme. As she races against time to uncover the truth, Maggie realizes the danger is far more personal and immediate than she could have imagined, leading her to a chilling confrontation with a diabolical mind.
