Synopsis

Haunted by the death of his partner on the streets of Baltimore, former detective Nate Burke seeks solace and a new beginning in the remote, snow-clad town of Lunacy, Alaska. He accepts the role of Chief of Police, hoping the stark beauty and isolation of the Arctic wilderness will mend his shattered soul. Lunacy, despite its name, offers a fragile peace, which is further warmed by an unexpected and passionate affair with Meg Galloway, a spirited bush pilot who is as untamed and independent as the Alaskan landscape itself. However, Lunacy holds its own dark secrets. An unsolved murder still casts a long shadow over the tight-knit community, and Nate's instincts tell him the killer remains at large. As he delves into the dormant case, he unearths layers of suspicion, hidden pasts, and long-held grievances among the residents. The investigation forces Nate to confront not only the town's complexities but also his own buried demons, reigniting the tenacious detective within him. His pursuit of truth threatens to expose the fragile new life he's built and the love he's found with Meg, pushing both to their limits amidst the harsh Alaskan winter.
