Synopsis

Frances Celane finds herself in a precarious position thanks to a restrictive clause in her late father's will: she must choose between a substantial inheritance and marrying the man she loves. If she marries, she loses a million dollars. Determined to have both her beloved and her money, Frances enlists the formidable defense attorney Perry Mason to navigate the labyrinthine legalities and outmaneuver her unyielding Uncle Edward Norton, the will's administrator. Mason's renowned powers of persuasion prove ineffective against Norton's stubborn refusal to compromise. However, the family feud escalates dramatically when Uncle Edward is found dead, a victim of a brutal bashing. Suddenly, the fight over inheritance transforms into a murder investigation. With Frances as the prime suspect, Perry Mason must delve into the tangled web of family secrets and financial motives, racing against time to uncover the true killer and protect his client, even as he grapples with the unsettling possibility of her involvement in such a heinous crime.
