The Vicious Vet

Former London PR agent Agatha Raisin finds herself increasingly restless in the quiet Cotswolds village, yearning for excitement and, perhaps, romance. Her persistent overtures to her neighbor, James Lacey, have proven fruitless, prompting Agatha to seek a new diversion. When a new, attractive vet arrives in town, Agatha seizes the opportunity, bringing her tabby, Hodge, for an unnecessary check-up solely to spark a connection. However, her romantic aspirations are abruptly curtailed when the handsome vet is found dead under mysterious circumstances, trampled by a high-strung horse. While the local police dismiss it as a freak accident, Agatha, bored and intrigued, manages to persuade the equally jaded James Lacey to join her in playing amateur detective. As they delve deeper into the seemingly idyllic village's secrets, they uncover a web of deceit, realizing that their innocent snooping might just make them the next targets in a dangerous game of murder.
