Synopsis

After their unprecedented joint victory in the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark return to District 12, haunted by the atrocities of the arena and the pretense of their star-crossed love. Their brief respite is shattered when they embark on the Victor's Tour, where Katniss's defiant act of threatening suicide with nightlock berries has unwittingly ignited sparks of rebellion across the districts. President Snow, perceiving Katniss as a dangerous symbol, forces her to continue the charade of love, threatening the lives of her loved ones if she fails to quell the growing unrest. As the 75th Hunger Games, a Quarter Quell, approaches, a horrifying twist is revealed: the tributes will be selected from the existing pool of victors. Katniss and Peeta are thrust back into the arena, facing more experienced, ruthless adversaries and a Capitol desperate to extinguish hope. This time, the games are not just about survival, but about a revolution simmering beneath the surface, forcing Katniss to confront the true meaning of sacrifice and rebellion.
