Synopsis

In the climactic conclusion to Terry Brooks's "The Word and the Void" series, John Ross, a weary Knight of the Word, continues his decades-long battle against the insidious forces of the Void. Haunted by prophetic dreams of a world consumed by darkness, Ross discovers a new and potentially world-altering entity: a rare creature born from pure wild magic. This being holds the key to turning the tide against the Void, but its very existence makes it a target for corruption or destruction by the malevolent darkness. Desperate, Ross seeks out Nest Freemark, a young woman gifted with her own formidable magical abilities, hoping her unique powers can protect the creature and help unlock its secrets. Together, they must confront an evil far more ancient and powerful than any they have faced before, in a final stand that will determine the fate of humanity and the very balance between good and evil.
