Antrax

Synopsis

Terry Brooks's "Antrax" plunges readers into a desperate battle for survival within the Four Lands. The legendary Druid Walker Boh and his crew, aboard the airship Jerle Shannara, embark on a perilous voyage across unknown seas, seeking elusive magic. However, their quest proves to be a trap, as dark forces assault their vessel and Walker's protégé, Bek Rowe, is relentlessly hunted by the mysterious Ilse Witch. Walker himself is caught in a nightmarish labyrinth beneath the ruined city of Castledown, stalked by an unseen, malevolent entity: Antrax. This ancient, non-human spirit feeds on enchantment, traps souls, and covets the magic of all beings, from Druids to elves. As Antrax plots to consume the very essence of the world for its own sinister designs, the fragmented heroes must confront unimaginable horrors and their own vulnerabilities to prevent the complete destruction of the Four Lands, where the fate of magic and mankind hangs precariously in the balance.
