Synopsis

Rob Fleming, a self-absorbed record store owner in his mid-thirties, is a pop culture connoisseur whose life revolves around music, mixtapes, and meticulously crafted Top Five lists. When his girlfriend, Laura, leaves him, Rob embarks on a neurotic journey of self-discovery, revisiting his past relationships to understand where he consistently goes wrong. With the help (and hindrance) of his equally music-obsessed, socially awkward employees, Barry and Dick, Rob navigates the chaotic landscape of love, commitment, and his own emotional arrested development. He tries dating new women, including a singer he's always wanted to sleep with, but constantly finds himself drawn back to the complexities of his feelings for Laura. A hilariously honest and often poignant exploration of masculinity, pop music, and the terrifying prospect of growing up, 'High Fidelity' captures the angst and charm of a generation obsessed with the soundtrack to their lives.
