At sixteen, Sam is a typical skater kid whose world finally seems to be aligning. His perpetually chaotic mum has ditched her latest unsuitable boyfriend, college aspirations are beginning to form, and he's just met Alicia, a girl who genuinely captivates him. Life is, for the first time, not just good but genuinely promising. However, this fleeting moment of equilibrium is shattered by an unforeseen "accident" – a teenage pregnancy – which catapults Sam into the bewildering realm of adult responsibilities long before he's ready. Grappling with monumental decisions about his future, his relationship with Alicia, and the impending reality of fatherhood, Sam finds himself unable to escape the consequences, no matter how fast he can skate.
