Blood Trail

Synopsis

As the Rocky Mountains brace for elk season, a chilling discovery sends shockwaves through Wyoming: a hunter found gruesomely dismembered—skinned, gutted, beheaded, much like his intended prey. A spent cartridge and a solitary poker chip are the only clues left beside the mutilated body. Game warden Joe Pickett is thrust into the heart of this macabre mystery, as Governor Rulon's unprecedented decision to halt hunting season ignites outrage and financial turmoil across the state. The timing couldn't be worse, coinciding with the arrival of radical anti-hunting activist Klamath Moore, raising suspicions of a dark, ideological motive. Is this the work of a deranged eco-terrorist, or does a lone psychopath harbor a deeply personal vendetta? With more bodies appearing, each bearing the grim signature of a poker chip, Joe Pickett must navigate a labyrinth of suspects, local animosity, and escalating fear to unmask a killer whose methods are as brutal as the wilderness itself, before the entire community is consumed by terror.
