Gathering Blue

In a post-apocalyptic society where weakness is often met with banishment or death, young Kira, orphaned and with a withered leg, faces a grim future. Upon her mother's sudden demise, she is summoned before the Council of Guardians, expecting judgment that could seal her fate. Instead, her unique and prodigious talent for weaving — an artistry inherited from her mother — saves her. The Council tasks her with an immense responsibility: to restore the intricate and historically significant Council Robe. This unexpected role offers Kira a semblance of safety, but it also draws her into a world of hidden truths and suppressed histories. As she hones her craft, she begins to uncover the dark secrets of her village, the manipulations of its leaders, and the true fate of those deemed imperfect. Alongside newfound friends, Kira must navigate a treacherous path, using her artistic skill not just for survival, but as a potent tool to understand, and perhaps even change, her restrictive and cruel world.
