The Legion of Videssos

Tribune Marcus Scaurus, a seasoned Roman legionnaire, finds himself a hero in the war-torn world of Videssos, a realm steeped in magic, after his legion was mysteriously transported there. He successfully installed Thorisin Gavras on the throne, earning the emperor's trust. However, fortune proves fickle. Returning in triumph from a victorious campaign against rebel mercenaries, Marcus is brutally betrayed by one closest to him.
