Following the cataclysmic destruction of London, Tom Natsworthy and Hester Shaw, now seasoned airship traders, navigate the treacherous skies of the Bird Roads. Their nomadic existence in their 'Jenny Haniver' is abruptly interrupted when they are relentlessly pursued by formidable rocket-firing gunships. Seeking refuge, they find themselves aboard the colossal ice city of Anchorage, a sanctuary that quickly reveals its chilling truth. Devastated by a recent plague, haunted by lingering ghosts, and plagued by madness, Anchorage is on a perilous course, not towards salvation, but towards the fabled and feared 'Dead Continent' of North America.
