In the whimsical and pun-filled land of Xanth, Smash stands out as an extraordinary ogre. Despite his imposing size and hideous appearance, he possesses a keen intellect and eloquent speech, defying his species' notorious stupidity. His journey begins when he seeks an 'Answer' from the enigmatic Good Magician Humfrey, only to be thrust into a quest without knowing the 'Question.' To complicate matters, Smash finds himself unexpectedly tasked with guiding a diverse group of seven women, including the enchanting Nymph Tandy, through the magical, and often dangerous, landscapes of Xanth. As he navigates treacherous terrain and the expectations of his companions, Smash grapples with his own identity and the profound mystery surrounding his unusual intelligence. This humorous adventure challenges stereotypes and explores themes of self-discovery amidst a backdrop of vibrant fantasy and characteristic wordplay.
