The Coronation

In the opulent yet tense Moscow of 1896, as the city prepares for the coronation of Tsar Nicholas II, Grand Duke Georgii Alexandrovich arrives with his children, unwittingly plunging them into a harrowing crisis. During a seemingly innocuous afternoon stroll, his daughter Xenia is dramatically abducted by bandits, only to be swiftly rescued by the enigmatic Erast Fandorin and his loyal sidekick, Masa. However, the chaos of the rescue masks a more sinister plot: four-year-old Mikhail has been snatched in the confusion. A chilling ransom note soon arrives, demanding the priceless Count Orlov diamond – an integral part of the royal sceptre for the upcoming coronation – in exchange for the boy’s life. Fandorin, with his sharp intellect and unconventional methods, must navigate the treacherous waters of imperial politics, international crime, and a looming deadline to uncover the mastermind behind the abduction and secure Mikhail's safe return.
