Synopsis

One moonlit night, young Sophie is whisked away from her orphanage bed by a mysterious giant. Terrified at first, she soon discovers her captor is the Big Friendly Giant (BFG), a gentle soul who, unlike his terrifying brethren, refuses to eat 'human beans.' Instead, the BFG subsists on revolting snozzcumbers and brews wondrous dreams, which he blows into children's bedrooms. Sophie quickly learns the BFG is the smallest of all giants, and the other, much larger giants — like the Fleshlumpeater and the Bloodbottler — are indeed bloodthirsty and regularly feast on humans. Alarmed by their sinister plans to invade England and devour children, Sophie and the BFG embark on a daring mission to warn the Queen of England. Their improbable alliance, filled with peculiar language, frobscottle, and dream-catching adventures, aims to save the world's children from a monstrous fate, proving that even the smallest person can make a colossal difference with a giant friend by their side.
