Synopsis

In the seemingly idyllic English village of St. Mary Mead, Miss Jane Marple, feeling the weight of years, resigns herself to a quieter life. However, her resolve is shattered when Hollywood royalty descends upon Gossington Hall. Marina Gregg, a glamorous film star, and her equally famous director husband, Jason Rudd, host a grand reception. Amidst the glitz and gossipy chatter, a seemingly innocuous encounter turns deadly: Heather Badcock, an avid fan, dies after drinking a poisoned cocktail intended for Marina Gregg. The incident deeply rattles Marina, hinting at a past trauma, and leaves Miss Marple with an unsettling feeling that the crime is more complex than it appears. As the seasoned detective reluctantly re-engages her formidable intellect, she unearths a tangled web of old resentments, tragic secrets, and shattered dreams, proving that even the most glittering surfaces can hide profound cracks and betrayals.
