Synopsis

Meg Murry, still finding her footing after her extraordinary journey through space and time, is thrust into a new crisis when her precocious younger brother, Charles Wallace, falls gravely ill. He speaks of 'dragons' and faces an inexplicable, life-threatening sickness. Meg, along with her friend Calvin O'Keefe, soon discovers that Charles Wallace's plight is no ordinary illness but a cosmic battle being waged at a microscopic level. Guided by the unique, feathery Progoos and the majestic cherubim, Gaudior, they must undertake an unbelievable journey into the very cells of Charles Wallace's body – specifically, his mitochondria. There, they confront the malevolent, anti-life entities known as the Echthroi, who seek to unbind existence itself. Meg, Calvin, and Gaudior must learn to understand the intricate dance of creation and destruction, individuality and conformity, to save Charles Wallace and, potentially, the balance of the universe. It's a profound exploration of interconnectedness, love, and the unseen forces that bind all life.
