Synopsis

Jennifer Glatzer is a typical American teenager, resentful about being uprooted from her life and transplanted to an ancient, sprawling farmhouse in rural Dorset, England, by her mother and new English stepfather. Feeling like a complete outsider in a foreign land, Jennifer soon discovers she's not truly alone. The house is haunted by the charming yet melancholic ghost of Tamsin, a spirited girl who died tragically over three centuries ago. What begins as a startling encounter quickly blossoms into an unlikely and profound friendship between two lonely souls separated by time and death. As Jennifer navigates her new life and struggles to fit in, she becomes intricately entangled in Tamsin's unresolved past, which encompasses a thwarted love, a dark family secret, and a looming malevolent entity seeking to prevent Tamsin from finding eternal peace. Jennifer finds herself not merely a witness but an active participant in Tamsin's quest for resolution, ultimately bridging the chasm between worlds and confronting both historical injustices and her own burgeoning identity.
