Synopsis

Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer, receives an irresistible offer: to complete the remaining books in a bestselling series by the acclaimed author Verity Crawford, who is now incapacitated after a tragic accident. To delve into Verity's notes and ideas, Lowen accepts an invitation from Verity's handsome husband, Jeremy Crawford, to move temporarily into their home. While sifting through Verity's chaotic office, Lowen discovers an unfinished autobiography, a manuscript clearly never intended to be shared. Its pages are filled with chilling confessions, including Verity's disturbing memories surrounding the day her daughter died. Lowen initially decides to conceal the manuscript from Jeremy, knowing its contents would shatter him further. However, as her feelings for Jeremy intensify, she begins to consider that perhaps he should read Verity's words. After all, no matter his devotion, such horrific truths might make it impossible for him to continue loving his incapacitated wife. This psychological thriller is a dark dive into truth, deception, and the terrifying nature of obsession.
