Synopsis

Born into the house of Helios, the sun god, Circe is a strange child, lacking the power of her father and the allure of her mother. Finding no companionship among the gods, she turns to the mortal world, where she discovers her gift for witchcraft. Threatened by her growing power, Zeus banishes her to a desolate island. Alone, Circe hones her formidable craft, transforming rivals into monsters and encountering many of mythology's most legendary figures: the Minotaur, Daedalus and Icarus, the vengeful Medea, and the cunning Odysseus. Yet, a woman on her own faces many dangers, and Circe inadvertently draws the wrath of both mortals and the formidable gods of Olympus. To protect what she has come to cherish, she must summon all her strength and make a definitive choice: whether to align herself with the gods who birthed her, or the mortals she has grown to love.
