Synopsis

Set in the atmospheric, shadowed streets of 1920s Barcelona, "The Angel's Game" plunges into the life of David Martín, a young writer whose talent is as undeniable as his misfortunes. Trapped in a cycle of writing sensationalist pulp fiction for a cynical newspaper, David grapples with a debilitating illness and a love that remains just out of reach. His life takes a fantastical and perilous turn when he is approached by Andreas Corelli, a mysterious, almost spectral, publisher from Paris. Corelli offers David an exorbitant sum and a cure for his illness, in exchange for writing a book unlike any other – a work that will establish a new religion, a new mythology, and fundamentally alter human consciousness. As David delves deeper into this impossible task, he finds himself entangled in a labyrinth of secrets, murder, and the dark history of an abandoned mansion, all while navigating the enigmatic confines of the Cemetery of Forgotten Books. A gripping tale of ambition, obsession, and the intoxicating, dangerous power of storytelling, Martin must decide if the price of immortality is worth his very soul.
