Synopsis

Dive into the hilariously chaotic world of Misha Vainberg, a 325-pound, 32-year-old 'disaster of a human being' and son of Russia's 1,238th-richest man. Armed with a degree in multicultural studies and an identity crisis, Misha yearns for a quiet life in the South Bronx with his Latina girlfriend. However, his dreams are shattered when his gangster father's antics render him stateless, losing his US visa. Desperate, Misha seeks salvation in the fictional, oil-rich post-Soviet republic of Absurdistan, hoping to buy a Belgian passport. But what starts as a simple transaction spirals into a geopolitical farce as a civil war erupts, thrusting Misha into the unlikely role of Minister of Multicultural Affairs. Amidst oil, conflict, and unexpected romance, Misha must navigate a world gone mad, all while questioning if a 'normal' life is even possible in the 21st century.
