Synopsis

During the tumultuous days of a pandemic lockdown, Bambi, recently cast out by his girlfriend, seeks refuge at his uncle's home in Lagos. His arrival is shrouded in an enigmatic blackout, only to find his Aunt Bidemi in a candlelit room, embroiled in a tense confrontation with another woman. Both women assert maternal rights over a baby boy, peacefully asleep in his crib, setting the stage for a domestic mystery of bewildering proportions. As the lockdown intensifies, Bambi's nights are punctuated by the baby's cries, while the days are disturbed by an aggressive cockerel and unsettling anomalies: sand mysteriously appearing in the rice, a sinister bloodstain marring a wall, and the disturbing discovery of tribal markings etched onto the baby’s innocent cheeks. Trapped in this claustrophobic environment, Bambi finds himself entangled in a web of deceit, unreliable narrators, and unsettling truths, forced to discern who is lying and who is speaking the truth about the baby's parentage and the escalating bizarre events.
