The Darkest Part of the Forest

Synopsis

In the enigmatic town of Fairfold, where the human and fae realms coexist with an uneasy truce, siblings Hazel and Ben have grown up under the spell of a sleeping faerie prince. Encased in a glass coffin within the darkest part of the forest, this horned, beautiful creature has been a constant, mesmerizing presence, a dangerous tourist attraction, and the subject of their childhood fantasies. Hazel, having once believed herself adept at navigating the treacherous fae world – even claiming to have banished a monstrous faerie in her youth – finds her carefully constructed reality shattering when the prince’s glass coffin is broken, and he awakens. As the faerie prince, Severin, is freed, chaos descends upon Fairfold, forcing Hazel and Ben to confront their past actions, the true nature of their family, and the blurring lines between truth and fae enchantment. They quickly discover that waking a prince from a century-long slumber has profound and perilous consequences, pushing them into a dangerous game where old loyalties are tested and the cost of wishes granted is far greater than they ever imagined.
