Paksenarrion, a former sheepfarmer's daughter who forged herself into a seasoned veteran with Duke Phelan's Company, finds her true calling diverging from a purely military path. Driven by an inner spiritual conviction, she seeks to become a paladin within the austere fellowship of Gird. This new, demanding life requires not only continued mastery of combat but also rigorous study in diplomacy and magic, preparing her for a destiny far grander than she ever imagined.
