Synopsis

Miles Raymond, the perpetually anxious and financially struggling protagonist of the 'Sideways' trilogy, finds himself at a crossroads. His fleeting fame as a wine writer is fading, and his bank account is dwindling. A lifeline appears in the form of a prestigious magazine commission: an article exploring the diverse wine regions of Chile. Seizing the opportunity, Miles invites his Spanish girlfriend, Laura, from 'Vertical' to join him on this South American adventure. Battling his characteristic panic and self-doubt, he embarks on a journey not just through Chile's breathtaking landscapes, from vibrant valleys to the stark Atacama Desert, but also into the depths of his own complicated heart. As romance, heartbreak, and unforeseen complications arise, Miles is forced to confront his past, his present, and the man he is destined to become amidst the backdrop of a vast and beautiful, yet often desolate, new world.
