Synopsis

Set against the backdrop of California's 1850 gold rush, "Redeeming Love" tells the powerful story of Angel, a young woman sold into prostitution as a child, whose heart is hardened by profound betrayal and abuse. She survives by nurturing her hatred for men and for the life forced upon her, believing herself beyond redemption. Her world is irrevocably altered by Michael Hosea, a devout man who, inspired by a divine calling, commits to marrying Angel and loving her unconditionally. Despite Angel's resistance, her deep-seated fears, and her repeated attempts to flee, Michael's steadfast love begins to chip away at her defenses. As her frozen heart slowly thaws, she grapples with overwhelming feelings of unworthiness, leading her to run back to the darkness she knows. Yet, Michael relentlessly pursues her, reflecting a greater, unyielding love that ultimately points Angel towards the spiritual healing she desperately needs. This novel is a moving allegory of God's redemptive love, inspired by the biblical story of Hosea and Gomer.
