Desperation

Off a desolate stretch of Interstate 50 lies Desperation, Nevada, a seemingly abandoned mining town that becomes a terrifying trap for several unsuspecting travelers. Their nightmare begins when they are brutally abducted by Collie Entragian, the town's monstrously oversized and maniacal police officer. Entragian's methods are varied and perverse, ranging from bogus drug arrests to faked rescues, all designed to ensnare his victims. Yet, Entragian is merely a puppet for a far more ancient and malevolent entity that infects Desperation's very landscape, manifesting as a viral, pervasive evil. As the trapped individuals face unimaginable horrors and the creeping realization that the town itself is alive with malevolence, a young boy named David Carver senses a faint counter-force, a spiritual power that might just be their only hope against the overwhelming darkness. This is a battle not just for survival, but for the very soul of the innocent.
