The Hero and the Crown

Synopsis

In the kingdom of Damar, Aerin is an outcast princess, overshadowed by her beautiful half-sister and burdened by rumors that her mother was a witch. Ignored by her father's court, Aerin finds solace in the stables with Talat, her father's retired warhorse, and in dusty library corners. There, she unearths a forgotten, dangerous recipe for dragon-fire-proof ointment, which she painstakingly perfects through years of secret experimentation. When reports of a 'vermin' dragon plague an outlying village, Aerin seizes the chance to prove herself, riding out with her sword, Talat, and her new-found armor. This small victory, however, is merely a prelude to a far greater challenge. The ancient and terrifying Black Dragon, Maur, a creature thought to be myth, awakens, threatening to plunge Damar into eternal darkness. Aerin must then confront her destiny, embracing her unique heritage and inner strength to face a foe of unimaginable power, ultimately fulfilling her birthright as a true hero of the realm.
