Synopsis

In the sprawling, intricate multiverse of Roger Zelazny's 'The Chronicles of Amber,' only one world is truly real: Amber. All other realities are mere 'Shadows,' mutable reflections that can be navigated and even shaped by the royal bloodline of Amber. The saga opens with Corwin, a prince of Amber, awakening on a Shadow Earth hospital bed, afflicted with amnesia and no memory of his true identity or his incredible heritage. As he slowly uncovers the truth of his past, he realizes he is a claimant to the throne of Amber, a position made precarious by the mysterious disappearance of his father, Oberon, and the fierce, often deadly, rivalries among his siblings. Plunged into a labyrinth of political intrigue, cosmic battles, and personal betrayals, Corwin must reclaim his memories, master his unique abilities, and navigate the treacherous path to secure his birthright and understand the true nature of his world, all while facing peril from within and beyond his family.
