Synopsis

Kinch Na Shannack, a cunning young man indentured to the shadowy Takers Guild for an education in thievery that spans from lock-picking to arcane small magics, finds himself on the brink of desperation. Burdened by a substantial debt, he attempts a roadside robbery, only to find his intended victim, Galva, is a formidable knight, a battle-hardened veteran of the brutal goblin wars, and a handmaiden to the goddess of death. This perilous encounter forces their paths to intertwine. Unsuccessful in his thieving attempt and narrowly escaping with his life, Kinch reluctantly joins Galva on her urgent quest to find her queen, who vanished after a northern city fell to monstrous giants. Their journey thrusts them into a world rife with peril: flesh-eating goblins, treacherous krakens lurking in the deep, and a society where honor is a rare and expensive commodity. This unlikely duo—a cynical thief and a stoic knight—must navigate dark magic, dangerous enemies, and their own conflicting moral codes as they uncover ancient mysteries and fight for survival in a grim, unforgiving land.
