Synopsis

In the wake of the devastating Riftwar, the Kingdom of the Isles has found peace and prosperity, yet challenges loom. Young Nicholas, the intelligent but untested son of Prince Arutha, is sent by his father to the remote Castle Crydee, accompanied by his spirited squire, Harry, to gain crucial life experience beyond the sheltered palace walls. This seemingly idyllic retreat is shattered when Crydee is brutally assaulted by enigmatic, seafaring raiders. The attack leaves a trail of death and devastation, culminating in the shocking abduction of two noblewomen. As Nicholas and Harry embark on a perilous quest to rescue the captives and uncover the identity of their mysterious foes, they discover that these are no ordinary pirates. Their enemy hails from a shadowy pirate haven and wields dark magical forces, threatening not only the stability of the kingdom but also the very lands Nicholas is destined to inherit. This epic adventure thrusts Nicholas into a crucible of war, magic, and self-discovery, forcing him to confront his inexperience and rise to meet a global peril.
