Synopsis

In 'Fool Moon,' the second installment of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files, wizard-for-hire Harry Dresden finds himself in dire financial straits, desperately seeking work in a supernatural Chicago that seems to have forgotten him. His luck takes a dark turn when he's called to investigate a gruesome murder. The victim is brutally dismembered, and the crime scene is marred by monstrous animalistic markings, eerily coinciding with the full moon. As Harry delves deeper, he uncovers a complex web of lycanthropic activity, ranging from street gangs who use their transformation for thrill-killing to ancient, powerful werewolf families. With the Chicago PD's Special Investigations Unit breathing down his neck and powerful supernatural factions at play, Harry must navigate a dangerous world of shapeshifters, dark magic, and escalating violence to stop the killings and clear his own name. This case tests his magical abilities and his moral compass, forcing him to confront the blurred lines between humanity and monstrosity under the unforgiving light of the full moon.
