Sisters Jennifer and Lisa Pailey arrive in the serene, snow-covered mountain town of Snowfield, California, only to find it eerily deserted. The silence is soon broken by the horrifying discovery of grotesque, disfigured bodies and the unsettling realization that the entire population of 150 is either dead or vanished. What begins as a search for answers quickly spirals into a terrifying fight for survival as they, along with the town's remaining few — including the bewildered sheriff and a pair of military doctors — confront an unimaginable horror. Initially suspecting a maniac, terrorists, or a strange disease, they soon uncover a much older, more insidious truth: an ancient, shapeless entity capable of consuming and mimicking life itself, an entity that has awakened and regards humanity as mere food. As the creature hunts them, they must decipher its true nature and find a way to stop it before Snowfield becomes a mass grave, and before this malevolent force expands its reign of terror beyond the isolated valley.
