Synopsis

In Jack Finney's enchanting sequel to 'Time and Again', protagonist Simon Morley, having found love and a new life in 1880s New York, is called upon by the clandestine, government-funded Project led by Reuben Prien for another extraordinary temporal assignment. This time, Si must leave his comfortable existence in the past to journey forward into a pivotal moment in 1912. His critical mission: to prevent the outbreak of World War I by safeguarding a man carrying vital documents across the Atlantic. This seemingly straightforward task takes a dramatic turn as Si finds himself a passenger aboard the ill-fated RMS Titanic on its maiden voyage. As he navigates the luxurious confines of the ship and races against impending disaster, Si must ensure the crucial documents reach their destination, all while grappling with the ethical dilemmas and personal risks of interfering with history on such a grand, tragic scale.

Critical Reception

"As a beloved follow-up to a time-travel classic, 'From Time to Time' solidifies Jack Finney's legacy as a master of nostalgic, intelligent, and deeply human speculative fiction."
