Synopsis

Despondent after a disastrous hair-styling incident leaves her with bald patches, middle-aged PR guru-turned-detective Agatha Raisin flees her tranquil Cotswolds village for the old-fashioned seaside resort of Wyckhadden. Hoping for a discreet recovery, Agatha finds herself amongst a host of eccentric elderly residents and, desperate for a solution, consults the local 'witch,' Mrs. Tamworthy. Agatha procures a hair tonic – and, ever the romantic, a love potion – and to her surprise, her hair begins to sprout, catching the attention of the handsome local police inspector. However, her newfound tranquility is shattered when Mrs. Tamworthy is found brutally murdered. With her keen investigative instincts reawakened, Agatha throws herself into solving the crime, navigating a cast of suspicious characters and the peculiarities of the seaside town. As she digs deeper, Agatha must uncover the killer while perhaps, just perhaps, finding a little love along the way.
