Rosie Graham, an aspiring romance novelist grappling with a severe case of writer's block after quitting her well-paying job, finds her life taking an unexpected turn when her apartment ceiling collapses. Seeking refuge, she heads to her best friend Lina's New York apartment, only to discover it's already occupied by Lina's cousin, Lucas Martín – the very man Rosie has been secretly admiring on Instagram. What begins as an awkward encounter with a charming, towel-clad Spaniard quickly evolves into a unique arrangement. Lucas, a skilled chef, offers Rosie a temporary place to stay and, more importantly, proposes an outrageous experiment: a series of curated 'dates' designed to reignite her literary muse and help her meet her looming deadline. As their fake dates blur the lines of their carefully constructed boundaries, Rosie finds herself falling for the irresistible Lucas. However, with his time in New York strictly limited to six weeks, Rosie must confront the challenge of a blossoming, yet potentially short-lived, romance while trying to save her career.
