Hogfather

Synopsis

On the eve of Hogswatch, Discworld's equivalent of Christmas, the beloved Hogfather mysteriously vanishes. As the belief in him dwindles, reality itself begins to fray, threatening the very fabric of the world. To prevent the complete breakdown of humanity's essential fantasies, Death reluctantly steps into the role of the Hogfather, complete with red robes and a 'Ho Ho Ho.' However, his literal interpretation of the role proves unsettling for the populace, and the Auditors of Reality are revealed as the orchestrators of this existential crisis. It falls to Death's pragmatic, gothic-inclined granddaughter, Susan Sto Helit, to unravel the mystery behind the Hogfather's disappearance, confront the forces that seek to eradicate humanity's need for belief, and restore the delicate balance between truth and fantasy before the Discworld's New Year's Day never dawns. A profound and witty exploration of belief, reality, and the human condition.
