Synopsis

In Michael Connelly's "Resurrection Walk," the renowned defense attorney Mickey Haller, famously known as the Lincoln Lawyer, finds himself overwhelmed by pleas from prisoners claiming their innocence. With the invaluable assistance of his half-brother, former LAPD detective Harry Bosch, Haller meticulously sifts through these appeals, eventually uncovering a case that demands their full attention: the potential wrongful conviction of a woman imprisoned for the murder of her husband, a sheriff's deputy. The initial investigation into the deputy's death was swiftly closed, with the department seemingly eager for a quick resolution in the killing of one of its own. However, Haller and Bosch quickly discern inconsistencies and unanswered questions, suggesting that this rushed justice might conceal something far more sinister. As they prepare for a monumental David versus Goliath courtroom battle, they realize that the truths necessary to free an innocent woman are not only deeply buried but also potentially lethal, putting their own lives at risk.
