Synopsis

During the perilous days leading up to D-Day in World War II, Heinrich Faber, codenamed "The Needle," is a brilliant and utterly ruthless German spy operating in Britain. He uncovers crucial photographic evidence confirming the Allies' elaborate deception plan – a fake invasion force designed to mislead Hitler about the true landing site. As British intelligence launches a desperate manhunt to capture him before he can transmit this vital information to Germany, Faber embarks on a brutal and cunning escape across the English countryside. His journey culminates on the remote and storm-battered Storm Island, where he encounters Lucy Rose, a young, isolated Englishwoman whose war-wounded husband, David, is a former RAF pilot. Trapped together in a remote cottage, a tense and dangerous relationship develops between the sophisticated spy and the vulnerable woman. As Lucy slowly uncovers Faber's true identity and the horrific implications of his mission, she is faced with an impossible moral choice that could decide the fate of the war and determine the ultimate cost of love and loyalty. This gripping tale is a masterful blend of espionage, psychological suspense, and human drama.
