Synopsis

Six years ago, Lady Isabella Scranton ignited London society with scandal, eloping with the notorious rake, Lord Mac Mackenzie, on the very night of her come-out. Their turbulent marriage lasted three years before Isabella caused another stir, leaving him. Now, Mac has returned, a changed man, and he's determined to reclaim his wife. He wants Isabella back in his life, his home, and his bed, and he'll stop at nothing to achieve it. Isabella initially resists, but Mac's persistent pursuit, including involving her in his provocative new artistic endeavor—explicit paintings—begins to stir long-dormant desires. She soon realizes her body still yearns for her husband's exquisitely skilled touch. Mac is relentless in proving his transformation, his three years without her only intensifying his hunger. Their volatile reunion takes a dangerous turn when an ingenious forger emerges, intent not only on Mac's valuable artwork but also on Isabella herself, forcing Mac to step in as her fierce protector. He vows to remain by her side, whether his proud, independent lady likes it or not, reigniting a passionate and perilous game of love and survival.
